Now Available for Quoting: Websense® Web and Data Security v7.5 and the V5000™ G2 Appliance
We are excited to announce the availability of quoting for the Web Security Gateway Anywhere and V5000 appliance, among several other important changes in support of Websense Web and Data security version 7.5. These include:
§ Websense® Web Security Gateway Anywhere: The new Web security package that can be purchased within the Websense TRITON™ system and offers customers all the Web Security Gateway capabilities — plus Websense TruWeb DLP™ and TruHybrid™ deployment.
§ V5000™ G2 Appliance: The next addition to the V-Series™ appliance family that supports deployments of the Websense Web Security Gateway and is ideal for branch office deployments and small- to medium-sized organizations.
§ New, 250-User Band for Web Security Gateway and Data Security Suite: Websense Web Security Gateway (including the Anywhere package) and the Data Security Suite are now available for organizations with 250 users.
Beginning April 1, 2010, Web Security Gateway Anywhere and the V5000 G2 Appliance can be quoted for purchase globally via the Websense Websense Partner Portal . Please note that although pricing scenarios are available now for Web Security Gateway Anywhere, it will not be saleable until its general availability (scheduled for April 30, 2010). Pricing scenarios are also available for the V5000 G2 appliance but the appliance will not be shipped until its general availability (scheduled for June 2, 2010).
Below are some of the great sales opportunities these changes will offer your customers:
§ There will be a 25% uplift to Websense Web Security Gateway Anywhere from the Websense Web Security Gateway list price.
§ Customers can have additional functionality with the Web Security Gateway Anywhere license which includes TruWeb DLP, TruHybrid Web security and remote filtering.
§ Customers can change their deployment mix from on-premise to Security-as-a-Service (SaaS) anytime in the future without having to buy additional licenses or contacting Websense to configure changes.
§ Customers with 250-500 users can purchase Websense Web Security Gateway and Data Security Suite within the new user band.
§ V5000 G2 Appliance Not-For-Resale (NFR) units are available at a discount (USD$2995) and can be used by partners for in-house use or for customer evaluations, but cannot be resold to a customer.
