Hardware Extensions

Deploy PacketShaper into a wider variety of topologies, extend bypass to optical interfaces and use a single PacketShaper for multiple LANs using Blue Coat hardware extensions.

LAN Expansion Modules (LEM)

Create flexible deployment options for complex topologies with additional PacketShaper network interfaces. PacketShaper models 3500, 7500 and 10000 support up to 2 additional pairs of Gigabit copper and fiber-optic LEMs.

Fiber Bypass Switches (FBS)

Designed for fiber-optic network interfaces, the FBS is an external bypass that ensures uninterrupted network access even if a PacketShaper:

        - Is powered down
        - Is in bypass mode
        - Encounters an unlikely failure
